eSIM Installation Guidelines
How to install your WaveSIM eSIM on Android and iOS
Scan the QR code by displaying it on another screen or printing it out. Be sure your phone is connected to stable internet before installing.
FOR ANDROID devices
1. QR Code Installation
Installation through QR code scanning is quite easy. You can get your QR code from the waveSIM Card provider mail. Follow these steps to complete the installation.
- Go to your Android device Settings
- Look for the Network & Internet, click it
- Shown 'Add' or '+' icon next to Mobile Network tap on this
- If prompted with "Don't have a SIM card?" tap Next
- Then, scan the QR code provided by waveSIM
- Adjust mobile network settings as needed
- Enable mobile data and data roaming if required for the new eSIM.
FOR iOS devices
1. Direct Installation
With the introduction of iOS 17.4 or later, Apple has streamlined the process of installing eSIMs by Apple Universal Links. This new method significantly simplifies eSIM activation, eliminating the need for physical SIM cards or manual configuration. When you receive a Universal Link from your eSIM carrier, simply click on it to initiate the installation and follow the steps.
2. QR Code Installation
The activation process involves scanning the QR code. QR code for eSIM contains all the necessary details for eSIM configuration and activation. You can get the eSIM from the provider mail: To use this method, simply scan the QR code with your iPhone's camera and follow the link.

- Open iPhone Settings
- Go to Settings then Cellular (Mobile service)
- Select Add Cellular (add eSIM)
- Choose Use QR Code and scan the code provided by waveSIM
- Label new eSIM and set your preferences for calls, messages, and data as needed.
- Enable data roaming and mobile data for your new eSIM.
